Trowbridge President Participates in Small Business Symposium

McLean, VA, Nov. 8, 2016 – Trowbridge & Trowbridge LLC, contributed real-world experiences and actionable ideas during an industry event at the end of October. President and CEO Karen Trowbridge was part of a panel held during a Small Business symposium focused on utilizing corporate culture to help build and differentiate a company brand. The symposium featured industry expert and author David Kriegman, and was attended by representatives from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Office of Small Business Programs.

The panel topics covered attracting and retaining quality employees, determining differentiators for your company, and how to encourage partnering with other companies, of any size. Trowbridge said, “It was captivating to hear others talk about the essential strategies necessary for success.” She continued to say, “Whether sharing perspectives from the client or customer side there were valuable insights provided on business development, cultural issues, and operational challenges.”

The group also discussed leveraging a company’s brand and associated differentiators to enhance the chance of selection by an agency for contracting work, and how to convince the agency to retain your special brand of services once selected. The panel was facilitated by CACI vice president Nancy Peters, and included Tommy Marks, director, Army Small Business Programs; Kristina Tanasichuk, Government Technology & Services Coalition; and Kimo Kippen of Hilton Worldwide along with Trowbridge.
